Nintendo64 OS Version 2.0L (PC version) Items to note before installation At least 135 MB of available disk space is required to install this software. It cannot be installed normally with less disk space, so please confirm that adequate space is available before installing. Additional disk space is required to install supplemental patches. Therefore, please ensure that ample disk space is available. Files from previous versions of the system must be deleted before installation. Uninstall 2.0K by selecting "NINTENDO64 OS2.0K" from ADD-Remove Programs under Control Panel. Delete all directories left from ultra\usr and below. Note that because the directory structure of 2.0L differs from that of 2.0K, directories and files from the previous version will remain if 2.0L is installed without first deleting the older files. When installing version 1.2 or earlier versions of exeGCC along with OS 2.0L, be sure to install exeGCC first. This is necessary because setup.bat changed beginning with version 2.0I, and installing exeGCC after installing the OS causes setup.bat to be overwritten by an older version. Installation Install OS2.0L by running os20l_eng.exe. This creates a destination directory for the installation. The setup default directory is c:\ultra. This is the recommended directory to use for installation. Next, the environment variables are checked. Please confirm that the setting for the environment variable root in setup.bat is the directory used for installation. A convenient means of saving time whenever the system is executed is to edit autoexec.bat so that it invokes setup.bat. Directories The 2.0L library contains the following: usr\include\ ...... N64 library header files usr\lib\ ........ N64 library usr\sbin\ ........ Hostio DLLs and other files usr\src\PR\ ........ Files such as N64 sample programs and documentation For details, see the release notes in usr\src\PR\doc\relnotes20K. Notes The library and samples are to be used exclusively with exeGCC(N64) and PARTNER-N64(PC). exeGCC(N64) and PARTNER-N64(PC) are products of Kyoto Microcomputer Co., Ltd.
