NIFF Editor can display a property dialog to reference and/or change the flag information settings of each node. To view this dialog, click the right mouse button on a node to display the pop-up menu, then select the Properties command. You can also select a node and then select the Properties command from the File menu.
The properties which can be set differ depending on the node, as outlined below:
Scene node | Set the Scene node name and video interface settings. |
Environment node | Set the Environment node name, fog, frame buffer and Z buffer settings. |
Camera node | Set the Camera node name, type, and clipping plane settings. |
Light node | Set the Light node name and ambient light, and verify the light type settings. |
Object node | Set the Object node name, state, type, group, cycle, priority, rendering and billboard settings. When a NIFF 2.0 file is loaded, you can also set render for fog. |
LOD node | View all the other object nodes that are linked to the different LOD levels inside an object node, displayed in order of distance. The distances can also be modified here. |
Shape node | Set the Shape node name and type. When a NIFF 2.0 file is loaded, you can also specify the use of vertex alphas when fog is used. |
Part node | Specify the Part node name. |
Material node | Specify the node name, shading, type, primitive color, and user-defined settings. When a NIFF 2.0 file is loaded, you can also specify the ambient color, emission color, diffuse color, type of fog, and primitive color for fog. |
Texture nod | Specify the node name, type, and wrapping. When a NIFF 2.0 file is loaded, you can also specify filtering and perspective correction, and check the MipMap level and color palette use status. |
Animation node | Specify the Animation node name and loop settings. Check the animation type and frame rate settings. |
Chain Root node | Specify the Chain Root node name. |
Joint node | Specify the Joint node name and type. |
Effect node | Specify the Effector node name. |
For the Properties dialogs, clicking the [OK] button after setting the necessary flags results in the settings being reflected in the NIFF file. To disregard the settings, click [Cancel].
