String Manipulation Functions

sprintf

Syntax

#include <ultra64.h>        /* os.h */
int sprintf(char *buffer, const char *format, .../* args */);

Arguments

  • buffer is the buffer address
  • format is the address of the format-specified character string
  • args are the arguments specified in the format

Explanation
Formats a string of characters and numbers and stores them in a buffer. When the option arguments are specified, the data is converted and stored according to the corresponding format specifications inside the format-specified character string.

Return Value
Number of characters stored in the buffer.

This does not include the NULL character indicating the end of the string.
